“Pompéi : An Artlife” attempts to show the modernity of the Roman civilization and how its deeply linked to our Western culture.
In the various rooms you can admire more than 200 works including frescos and everyday objects presented in their original environment, a testament to the daily life of the era.
Buildings, everyday objects, the presence of running water, heat distribution and sewage: all surprisingly modern.
The Domus Pompeiana, which the exhibition is introducing to you here, is an perfect example of the houses of the time, the way they were fitted out and their incredible modernity. Their infrastructures, access to running water, heating systems and mains drainage are all here. You will walk through a reproduced villa with all its living spaces laid out as they were then, from the Atrium, portico, arches, bathrooms and the kitchen.

The French Open
Roland Garros Tennis Tournament
The Roland-Garros tennis tournament in the spring is the world mecca of ground tennis, it is one of the key ATP competitions with Flushing Meadows, Wimbledon and Melbourne.
It was here that great players such as Borg, Graf, Wilander, Lendl, Kuerten and Nadal made their debut and here that spectators experienced some of the most exciting and spectacular matches in tennis history.
Clay courts slow the ball down and produce a high bounce when compared to grass and synthetic courts. As such, over the years, clay court specialists have evolved who often succeed here whilst higher ranked players may struggle.
Who will be the winners after Raphael Nadal and Li Na in 2011.

Salon International de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace Le Bourget 2013
The 50th Paris Air Show is an international trade fair for the aerospace business. It is held every odd year, alternating both with the Farnborough International Exhibition.
The Paris Air Show is a commercial air show, organised by the French aerospace industry's body whose main purpose is to demonstrate military and civilian aircraft to potential customers.
Traditionally, some major sales contracts are announced during the show (in particular Airbus and Boeing) as part of the corporate communication of the manufacturers. All major international manufacturers, as well as the military forces of several countries, attend the Paris Air Show.
